The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Hi Everett, Thanks very much. This curtain hangs in the house where my mother grew up, in small town of Kelliher, Saskatchewan. The house sits empty now, in the middle of a wheat field. Destined for burn training by the local fire department. Linda
