A first nations dancer performs under the spotlight. I captured this image at the annual Kamloopa Pow Wow in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada where I was inspired by the feast of color in the dancers' regalia, the beat of the drum, and the high-pitched wail of native voices in song. Using camera movement as my paintbrush, and light as my paint, I hope to forever capture and honour the spirit of these beautiful people in a collection I call "Pow Wow Spirit".
